What's It All About?

Insights & Niches

My focus is on enriching travel experiences while covering lots of ground, finding cultural connections, and exploring. There is always more beyond the brochure, and there is often where fun and fascinating things are found. Travel can be very personal, and when it’s really good, it nurtures the spirit.

My niches tend towards culture, coastal, wellness lifestyle, food, historical topics, exceptional lodging, art, and repurposed structures. Nature is often a draw, so I often favor biking or walking friendly destinations and the great outdoors. And who doesn’t love a good road trip?

My demographic is versatile and gravitates towards what I like to call adventurous sophisticated-bohemian travelers. That’s my jam.

Multi-destination, nuanced, off-season, and under-the-radar itineraries are great opportunity to be creative in a story. I go in with a focus, but often come out with a bigger more informed picture.

I welcome freelancing opportunities with a variety of outlets and enjoy collaborating with DMOs to tailor assignments for informative narrative experiences, video & photography, and finding the poetry in travel.

The substance for a good travel writer is the ability to adapt and roll-with-it when necessary. Much like in life, a detour can turn out to be a special highlight. So, ears, eyes, and heart open, and travel beyond the ordinary!
