Take a walk with me on a chilly Berlin morning along the East Side Gallery and rediscover the art and history of the modern ruins of the Berlin Wall. It has A LOT to say.

Facts: At 1316 metres long, the open-air art gallery on the banks of the Spree in Friedrichshain is the longest continuous section of the Berlin Wall still in existence. Immediately after the wall came down on November 9, 1989, 118 artists from 21 countries began painting the East Side Gallery, and it officially opened as an open air gallery on 28 September 1990. Evening walk thru the center Of Brandenburg Gate, once strictly reserved for royalty only until Napolean waltzed thru in an act of invasion.Then Hitler paraded thru it with 20,000 men, if that, tho he claimed it was 500,000 at the time.

Inspiration: The Propylaea of the Athenian Acropolis

Brandenburg Gate - one of Berlins most famous sites has also been dubbed "Porta Pacis" (Peace Gate)

The historical structure stands beside The Hotel Adlon which features unrivaled views of the site from within its own world renowned historical 5 star luxury interiors.
